Rae is a PhD Candidate in Art + Architecture History at the University of Oregon. Her work focuses on the intersection of modern and contemporary art and issues of space, landscape, urbanism and environment.
Her master’s thesis analyzed the photography of Oregon’s lesbian lands from a queer ecological and critical spatial perspective. Her public writing on this topic can be found here.
She is currently working on a dissertation about the relationship of art, visual culture and the commons.
